Explanation

The Retraction & Correction Policy at Khidmati: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat aims to ensure that every published article maintains scientific validity and provides tangible benefits to the community. Retractions are issued when serious violations such as plagiarism, data manipulation, or errors in reporting activities are found that could mislead readers or harm the community.

The article withdrawal process begins with an investigation by the editor, which may involve reviewers and relevant parties, including the author's institution. Authors are given the opportunity to provide clarification before a final decision is made. If violations are proven, the article will be withdrawn and will remain visible in the journal system with a special "Retracted" label to maintain transparency and academic track record.

Meanwhile, for errors that are minor and do not affect the main substance, the journal will publish Correction in the form of an erratum or corrigendum. This allows corrections to be made without having to withdraw the entire article.

In the context of community service, ethical aspects are crucial, including ensuring public consent and participation and avoiding negative impacts. With this policy, Khidmati strives to maintain public trust, improve publication quality, and ensure that every published scientific work is accurate, ethical, and beneficial to the wider community.
